Ultrasound at Twelve Weeks
This Blog has moved! Click here to see what's new in the life of the Pruett family.
We had our second ultrasound on Wednesday of this week.
Click here to view the video: Baby Pruett Ultrasound Video.
There is also an AVI version (may work on the Mac): Baby Pruett Ultrasound Video.
It was rather amazing to see how much more “lifelike” the baby is now, even though we’re only at about 12 weeks. We were able to see (and hear) the heartbeat, watch the blood circulating, see a cross-section of the brain, and recognized many other features such as particular bones and the spine.
At the very beginning of the ultrasound, the baby arched its back for what looked like a big yawn, then dropped back down again to rest. It was pretty funny to see, but also made it so much more real. Amazing that at less than 3 months into the pregnancy we’ve already got a real baby. I think the people that argue that a pre-birth baby is just a fetus haven’t seen an ultrasound before.
I’ve edited the 11 minute video down to about 2 minutes. I’m working at providing it in more than just Windows Media Player format, but we’ll have to see what I can do.
Take a look, let me know what you think.

Hey Jeff and Kristen!
Shawn and I just watched the video together - wow! Brought tears to my eyes! That is amazing what you can see at such an early stage. We are so glad things are going so well. So it really does look like a boy! Thanks for sharing that with us. We hope to see you both soon. What are your plans next Saturday night or Sunday? You are in our prayers, including your little one.
Love Shawn and Cindy

Hello you lucky parents !
Can’t wait to see the ultrasound.
So far, it’s not responding to my Mac.
The problem most likely is the operator.
Thanks for trying,
Gramma

I ran across your blog looking for 12 week ultrasound pictures on google since my OBGYN only does them at 5 weeks and 20 weeks. Through reading your blogs I can clearly see how devoted you are to Christ, your wife, and your newborn baby. May your life always lead you to God and may your cup continue to overflow. God Bless and thank you for providing your 12 weeks ultrasound and video, something I wouldn’t have otherwise seen. I heard my baby’s heartbeat the other day and it all became so real. Now I know how he or she LOOKS!!! Congratulations and send my regards to your wife. Believe me, I’m all ready feeling the physical affects of the pregnancy; I can only imagine what she went through!!

I literally cried because our doctor makes you pay almost $200 for “UnnecessarY” ultrasounds. How did you capture that footage? Awwww!!!
