This morning, I noticed Isaac was brushing Elmo’s teeth.  It was so cute!  He would brush Elmo’s teeth, then his teeth, then back to Elmo.  Kinda like I do when we brush his teeth: first Isaac brushes his teeth, then Mommy, then back to Isaac.  After Elmo’s teeth were deemed plaque-free, Elmo must have been thirsty.  Isaac gave Elmo some of his milk from his sippy cup!  We had milk everywhere!  All over Elmo and the couch!  How thoughtful that he knew that Elmo needed some milk.

Today Isaac and I were on our way to the park to meet friends and I glanced in my fish-eye rear view kiddie mirror (it is for keeping an eye on who is throwing what in the 2nd and 3rd rows of my van) and I saw Isaac waving.  He must have seen me looking at him, so I waved back.  Then he smiled and said, “Hello!”  I said “Hello” back and then he said it a couple more times.  I forgot about it until when we were home, Jeff came in he said “Hello!”  What a big boy!  His vocabulary is expanding exponentially these days. 

I know everyone thinks their kid is the smartest kid, but I know mine is the smartest. ;p

Bath time!  Look at all those teeth!

Isaac started saying “no” a couple of days ago.  We think it is funny and a little cute when he says it, the way he says it.  This will change by next week when it won’t be cute anymore.  He says it low, serious, and a little breathy.  He says it when he’s trying to say “yes” also. 

I haven’t really wanted to talk about it.  I know it is silly, but I am in denial that it has happened. 

We had a really nice birthday BBQ at my parent’s house on Memorial Day so it was an easy day to celebrate- everyone had the day off!  My mom decorated with Beach theme and it was a ton of fun!  The cake was a carrot cake from Gina’s Piece of Cake- the best birthday cake I have ever had!  It was so yummy!

The Girls

Okay, I had to post another one for today because this one was just too funny. 

I bought Isaac a step stool today for his bathroom so that he could learn how to step up to the sink and wash his hands.  I even got him some foam hand soap so that he would be able to wash off the soap easier.  Until now, we have been picking him up and washing his hands for him.  So, even with the step stool he is still too short to reach the faucet and turn on the water.  So I still have to hold him up a little bit or bring the water to him. 

When I set up the step stool he checked out the flip-up steps to see what was in there and banged those around for a while.  Then nI showed him how he to climb up and wash his hands.  He got up, then down, then up, then down, then he got on top of it and was stomping on top of it.  I got the camera because he loved it, he thought he was a big boy, and he thought he was getting away with something.  Then he started to lift one leg up, like he was doing a trick!  What a funny kid!

Oh good!  Now I have an audience!

Hey Mom!  Look what I can do!

I know it has been a LONG time since I published to my blog… Where did the time go?  I have been getting used to my new computer and also getting used to my new digital photo organization program, Memory Manager.  I am amazed at how many ways you can organize pictures in this program, how easy it is to share pictures (just figuring that part out so gimme a break), and it makes me wonder why I haven’t been using it until now.  It will even keep track of the pictures I have printed, boy do I need that!

Isaac and I enjoyed a day at the beach about a month ago.  It was a perfect beach day and I wanted to post some of the pictures I took while we were there.

It was a great day and I was so glad that we were able to enjoy a day at the beach, just the two of us.
